Local Planning GroupsThe Sedgefield Children and Young People’s PartnershipBackgroundThe Sedgefield Children and Young People’s Partnership was formally launched in February 2004, following work initiated by the LSP Healthy Borough Policy Group.The purpose of the Partnership is to improve the lives of children, young people and their families within Sedgefield Borough. Membership is open and inclusive to all agencies and stakeholders committed to developing Children’s Services across Sedgefield Borough. At present there are approximately 27 agencies that have signed up to be stakeholders within the Partnership these include statutory (Sedgefield Borough Council sections, police, health, social care, education) and community/voluntary (DISC, Family Link, CAVOS) services. The Partnership are currently working on:
Other issues such as improving the involvement and awareness of the grass root community and voluntary groups (scouts, church youth groups, out of school clubs, etc) and children, young people and their families are also high on the agenda.
