Local Planning Groups

The Derwentside Children And Young People Planning Group was established in 2004. Its main role is to:

1. Identify local needs, priorities, outputs and targets in relation to Children and Young People in Derwentside and in the context of national targets/outputs
2. Develop a Strategy for Children and Young People in Derwentside and the Children and Young People of the Derwentside Community Strategy
3. Act as a sub-group to the Derwentside Local Strategic Partnership in matters relating to Children and Young People. and to represent the needs of Derwentside in the county Durham Children and Young People Strategic Partnership
4. To promote and support the integration of services and budgets relating to children and young people to achieve real co-ordination and Best Value
